As a die-hard Wolverine, I usually wince at the mention of Ohio, particularly Columbus. But I can say with all sincerity that I’m looking forward to heading down there in a couple of weeks to help my friends at Worthington Jewelers with a great event that helps support a really worthy cause — Kinder Key.
Here’s the press release … you can also learn more at their website. I hope to see YOU there!
REALITY STAR SETH GOLD TO APPEAR AT LOCAL JEWELRY-BUYING EVENT
COLUMBUS, Ohio (April 1, 2015) – Seth Gold, star of truTV’s top-rated show “Hardcore Pawn” will visit Worthington Jewelers on Saturday, April 25 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. A portion of proceeds from the event will benefit Nationwide Children’s Hospital Kinder Key.
“We’re excited to welcome Seth to Worthington Jewelers for our spring diamond, gold and watch-buying event,” said store owner Bob Capace. “Fans will have an opportunity to visit with Seth, take photos and grab an autograph while our team evaluates their diamonds, jewelry and watches for purchase. We’ll also have a watch broker on hand with a large selection of high-end watches to buy, sell and trade.”
Gold is a fourth-generation pawnbroker who works alongside his sister and father at American Jewelry and Loan. Located in the heart of Detroit, the shop is the setting for “Hardcore Pawn.” Now in its ninth season, with over 150 episodes, “Hardcore Pawn” has broken numerous audience records and averaged nearly three million weekly viewers in the U.S.
“Whether you’re buying or selling jewelry, Worthington Jewelers offers great value and selection. I’m excited to meet their customers,” Gold said.
Co-owner Theresa Capace noted that a portion of the proceeds from the jewelry-buying event will benefit Kinder Key. “We’re excited to support Kinder Key and the lifesaving work taking place at The Heart Center at Nationwide Children’s Hospital,” she said. “We’re also sponsoring Kinder Key’s Denim & Diamonds Gala later the same day.”
Bob Capace encouraged anyone with old, broken or unworn jewelry to stop by for a no-obligation consultation. “As a full-service jeweler, we don’t just buy jewelry – we transform old into new,” he said. “For example, if you’ve lost a diamond earring, we can either buy the remaining earring, create a new one to match it, or take it on trade toward new jewelry you’ll be proud to wear.”
